Snooker is one of the fastest growing sports in the World in terms of profile, broadcast coverage and participation. From just 6 events in the 2009 season, the World Snooker Tour has seen fantastic growth over recent years, with the 2015/16 season encompassing 25 events around the world.

World Snooker events are broadcast to over 500 million viewers in 88 countries around the world. During the 2014/15 season, over 5000 hours were aired on broadcast television. The average audience for a World Snooker Ranking Event is over 82 million viewers.

During 2015, Matthew had in the region of 9 hours coverage on BBC1, BBC2 and BBC Wales. Live coverage of him beating Ronnie O’Sullivan in the Welsh Open, beating Mark Williams in the World Championships, as well as his defeat to Ronnie O’Sullivan in the World Championships.

Matthew has many interviews with the sponsors badge in a prime position. Matthew regularly has television coverage in China, and during the European Tour on Euro Sport.

About Matthew

Matthew has had a difficult few years off the table, but is still regarded as one of Snooker’s most naturally gifted players. Matthew has consistently achieved under the highest pressure at the top of the game. Now he is focused and ready for the challenge of the 2016 season.

Matthew is very positive and is taking training and practice very seriously – with gym sessions 3 days per week and Snooker practice 6 days per week.

His two young sons are his world and he spends as much time with them as possible. He is one of the most approachable sportsmen you will find, spending time with his fans and signing autographs. He is also one of the most liked Snooker players on the circuit, by the players and the fans.

Matthew is a great ambassador to the sport, and an ideal guy to help promote your company.
